Double Ear Clamps offer a wider clamping range as well as elastic properties. The 101 Group’s elastic properties enable consistent clamping force in environments with high vibration and large temperature shifts.
Burr-free edges reduce damage to hoses being clamped
Narrow width concentrates clamping force
Suitable for Tubing or Hose
Composed of Zinc-Plated Steel
Selection: Measure the outside diameter (O.D.) of the hose to be clamped. Select a clamp with an average size range that is close to the hose’s O.D. An optimal clamp size will allow the hose’s O.D. to fall in the middle of the clamp’s size range.
Clamping Procedure: After assembling the hose, use an Oetiker® ear clamping tool to compress the clamp’s first ear, followed by clamping the second. The clamp’s ears should be reduced in size by at least 40% to provide enough clamping force. If sized correctly, the clamp’s ears should not close completely during compression.
